Starting in the academic year 2021-2022, students of the Communication Audiovisual degree will be able to graduate with a mention in Multiplatform Audiovisual Communication or a mention in 3D Content. To learn about the conditions for obtaining these mentions, please visit the following link.

To obtain their degree, students must pass 240 ECTS through subjects corresponding to the following modules:

Audiovisual and multimedia technologies 36 Knowledge and application of the technologies and systems used to process, develop, and transmit audiovisual and multimedia content. Documentation in both analog media and digital systems. Understanding of technological aspects related to management across all services integrated within audiovisual production and telecommunications. Designing multimedia products as well as interactive computer environments.
Audiovisual and multimedia organization and production 18 Design and evaluation of productive management in various audio, visual, audiovisual, multimedia, and interactive formats. Knowledge of professional training support systems as well as scriptwriting and project development, production, distribution, and exhibition of various products. Audiovisual market: creation studies and business research. Programming strategies on radio and television. Management of virtual fields and interactive physical spaces.
Writing skills & oral expression 18 Proper use of language skills. Practical application of written expression to multimedia communication media & digital media. Strategies for oral communication. Narration & presentation on radio & television programs; Professional English in the field of communication.
Structure & policies in audiovisual communications 24 Organization & management system focusing on its economic/cultural parameters; European level policies regarding Audio-Visuals etc., Political systems, communication media, public opinion; Socio-communicative reality within the Spanish context; Legislative mechanisms/ethics related to information, audio-visual communication technologies impact creation, growth, new areas (museums/offices/agencies/projects online). Contemporary artistic movements, globalization, international relations.
Ideation and audiovisual narrative processes 24 Scriptwriting for news, reports, documentaries, and audiovisual fiction. Forms and techniques of the show. Creative and persuasive foundations of advertising creativity. Theories on audiovisual storytelling, dramaturgy, and staging. Ideation of new formats.
Theory & history of audio-visual media & new multimedia platforms 24 History of audio-visual media such as photography, film, radio, television, video comics etc., Technical fundamentals in multimedia languages; Historical knowledge about different paradigms related to theories on audio-visual communication; History, aesthetics of visual representations; Audio-Visual Genres, Mass Culture & companies that create cultural and communication productions along with various types of online portals.
Analysis of audio-visual discourses & their social effects 18 Methodologies for analyzing audio-visual messages & communicative functions such as information, persuasion, entertainment. Reception studies, psychosocial, cognitive, emotional processes involved in social communication within specific contexts Advertising, public relations & communicative strategies
Techniques and creative processes in production, directing & post-production: 42 Directing in cinema, television, video/audio applications basics like set design, lighting, direction, filming actors. Creation process, recording, distribution radio production, music recordings, sound products. Editing, post-production digital sound, audio visual, multimedia.
Design & Animation 60 Knowledge about designing/formal aesthetics within audio-visual media/digital environments Production/Directing 3D animation, info graphics, interaction, video games, animation, visual effects, interpretation animated characters into 3D.
Final Degree Project 18 Ability to apply acquired knowledge throughout the degree program's planning development project-specific communications encompassing all phases related to designing, planning, executing a final product Implementation skills/competencies acquired across teaching fields such as preproduction, production, post-production, value creation, disbursement associated with an audio-visual project.

La cronología del plan de estudios del Grado en Creación Digital, Animación y Videojuegos se organiza de manera que los estudiantes adquieran progresivamente los conocimientos que le permitan diseñar y desarrollar los diferentes contenidos que se irán integrando dentro del proceso global de producción.

El plan de estudios se divide en cuatro cursos, con un total de 240 créditos ECTS que se distribuyen en 8 cuatrimestres de 30 créditos cada uno. Las subjects básicas y obligatorias son de 6 créditos; las optativas son de 4.5 créditos, las prácticas externas ocupan 9 créditos y el Trabajo Final de Grado tiene una carga de 12 créditos.
